You can pay your existing court cases and traffic tickets with a credit card. Allow 2 weeks from the date of arrest for your ticket to arrive at the Circuit Clerk’s office and appear in the system. Click here to be directed to payment page.
On October 24, the Illinois Supreme Court issued Rule 138. Personal Identity Information, which prohibits including in documents and exhibits filed with the court Social Security numbers, birth dates, mother’s maiden name, numbers for drivers license, financial accounts, debit and credit cards. Although the effective date of the rule is January 1, 2013, in order to protect against identity theft, anyone filing papers with the Circuit Clerk’s office is urged to refrain from filing this information now.
